Alson's Story

Diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at 3 months, Alson Wang’s mother has always been his main caregiver. However, when she passed on after his graduation from Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore (CPAS), he learned to be independent and take care of himself. His main focus is to excel at his job, as well as to earn enough to sustain his daily expenditure, thus taking care of himself.

Currently serving as a cashier at Daehwa Vegetarian Restaurant, and serving as a delivery personnel for Grab Food and Food panda, Alson feels proud of his current job, and customers thanking him brings great joy to his heart. Delivering food every day with his wheelchair is a daily challenge for Alson, but he is thankful for the opportunity to be able to earn his own income, and feels empowered leading an independent, dignified life.

Alson is happy to give back to society and help those in need. He wants to make himself and Singapore proud by representing the nation in the Paralympic Games, hoping to inspire others and persons with Cerebral Palsy, showing them that they can do it too, and this in part lead him to participate in Relay Majulah as well.

With such an unbreakable spirit, please join us in contributing charitably in his honour!
