After running for the past 8 years, Alvin Quek realizes that his passion for running became stronger whenever he challenged himself to improve his speed or beat his personal best record. Nowadays, due to the hustle and bustle of life, he says it is increasingly more challenging for individuals to ignite a stronger passion for running with the purpose of running for a good cause.
As a father of two, Mr Quek says he needs to set a good example for them on living healthily, and that is how his son, Vernon Quek, started to like running 3 years ago. Mr Quek’s current challenge is to motivate and inspire his children, as well as the SAFRA Running Club Punggol Runners to keep running and achieve their desired timings.
For the past 4 years, Mr Quek has been donating blood on a monthly basis to do his part for society in every way he can. He is honoured to be part of Relay Majulah, raising funds for the less privileged and to give back to society, and looks forward to all of your support and donations.
