Ernest's Story

After his O Levels, Ernest Wong  took up the Diploma of Business and Social Enterprise at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Taking on this diploma wasn't just an education certification for him to attain. It is also him embarking on a journey to make differences in the lives of others. From there, his journey included being part of the leadership for a community service club (Leo Club), he started his own social enterprise: Camp Hiro and was also a Youth Corps Singapore Leader.

On top of serving full time in the Underwater Demolition Group in the Naval Diving Unit as part of his National Service, Ernest is also spearheading a non-profit organization, Movement Of Inclusivity where they advocate a more inclusive Singapore. In addition to that, Ernest is also an active grassroots leader in the Yew Tee Constituency and spends his Sundays paddling in a differently abled dragon boat team named 'Different Dragons'.

This year, Ernest is taking part in the Relay Majulah as he is motivated by the challenge and the meaning behind it. Through this run, he hopes to raise more funds to support charities in uplifting lives of our community in need.
