Glenda's Story

Glenda currently anchors Asia Tonight for CNA. An award-winning presenter, highlights of her work include the reporting on the 2008 Beijing Olympics, covering the devastating aftermath of the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. She was also named Best News Anchor at the Asian Television Awards in 2001 and Best Presenter at Mediacorp's Annual Excellence Awards in 2005. In addition, she has been actively involved in the President's Star Charity shows since 2007 as one of its hosts.

‘This year, I am again honoured to host the President's Star Charity.’ Glenda says. At last year's event she participated in a Perankaan jogek dance. This year to challenge and put herself further out of her comfort zone, she will be running 10kilometers.

When asked what inspired her to take part in Relay Majulah, Glenda says, ‘I'm not a runner and have no previous marathon experience so this poses a new challenge for me. I hope that by pushing myself it will inspire others to come forward to contribute in any way they can. And that it's never too late to start something new.’

Her wish is for everyone to join her in this journey, to champion change, for a kinder, gracious, and compassionate ‘us’.
