Nazri's Story

Nazri Nasir is a former footballer from Singapore and was the captain of the Singapore national team from 1997 to 2003. He led the team to the 1998 AFF Championship title and was a defensive midfielder known for his 'combative, hard-running and ferocious tackling style'. Nazri began his career with Jurong Town in Singapore's FAS Premier League in 1988 where he won the President's Cup in 1988 and 1989. In February 1994, Nazri signed a two-year contract with the Singapore Lions which went on to achieve the Malaysian League and Malaysia Cup double that year. Nazri retired as a player at the age of 37 in 2008.

Today, he continues to be active in the community to inspire the younger generation to embrace sports and their passion. Nazri is excited to be part of Relay Majulah to raise funds and create awareness for President's Challenge. It is a challenge to complete 10km in 1 hour but he will give his best to achieve his mission - for a good cause. He hopes our community can rally around our friends in need and donate generously to transform their lives.
