Seow Wei's Story

Goh Seow Wei was not at the peak of his health, both mentally and physically, in his earlier years. His pursuit of a career had consumed a great part of his thoughts and energy, which in turn caused Seow Wei to neglect every other aspect of his life.

Over time, he slowly realized that this sedentary lifestyle was causing him to stagnate, even in my mindset and attitude towards life in general. That was when he first encountered the quote, 'I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul' by William Ernest Henley. ruminating over this quote for a long time, Seow Wei slowly deciphered and extracted a personal message that applied to himself, eventually deciding that he wanted to regain control and mastery of his life beyond work.

Through his participation in Relay Majulah, Seow Wei hopes to inspire and empower others to take charge of their own actions, make a change to better themselves and the lives of others. Knowing that he can be a part of something bigger than himself, and that he is able to give back to society and our nation - gives Seow Wei a greater sense and purpose in life.
