The President's Challenge
"I thank the 200 runners who will be running to raise funds for the President’s Challenge. Let’s work together to create a more caring and inclusive Singapore!"
– President Halimah Yacob
The President's Challenge represents a coming together of people from all walks of life.
Under the President’s patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. It is the President’s call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society.
While fundraising continues to be at the heart of President's Challenge, the campaign has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time, skills and talent for the less fortunate. President’s Challenge now seek to play a bigger role in nurturing stronger communities by expanding support for programmes beyond the social service sector and to encourage the young and elderly population to be involved in community work.
As we celebrate the nation’s 200 years of progress, we do not want to forget or leave behind some that have, in their own ways, contributed to the many successes we have experienced. This fundraising initiative seeks to rally the support of Singaporeans to support fellow Singaporeans as we journey onward to the next stage of Singapore’s development.
The runners running for Relay Majulah will be pushing their limits and working together to raise funds for the 67 charities supported by President's Challenge.
Every year, President’s Challenge selects a large number of benefiting organisation to support and raise funds for. Our help relieves these benefiting organisations from having to fundraise on their own so that they can focus fully on their mission and cause.
Donations to President’s Challenge go to many charities covering the various sectors from children and family to rehabilitation.
