The President's Challenge
"It is a very inclusive relay because people from all walks of life took part in it, including our friends in the special needs community."
– President Halimah Yacob
The President's Challenge represents a coming together of people from all walks of life.
Under the President’s patronage, to help those who are less fortunate. It is the President’s call to all Singaporeans to do their part to build a more caring and cohesive society.
While fundraising continues to be at the heart of President's Challenge, the campaign has gone beyond the giving of money to the giving of time, skills and talent for the less fortunate. President’s Challenge now seek to play a bigger role in nurturing stronger communities by expanding support for programmes beyond the social service sector and to encourage the young and elderly population to be involved in community work.
Our runners raised a total of $1.6 million! 100% of all donations will go directly to the 67 charities supported by the President’s Challenge. Every cent will make a difference in the lives of our less privileged and specially abled Singaporeans.
